    Hey.

That's cool you guys got an interview!

Jeff: “… I love the fact that free tools are available for almost anyone who wants to make a game…I also hate the fact that free tools are available for almost anyone who wants to make a game.”

    Hahaha!

Seriously, I really like both your answers to questions 5 – 7, though. Lots of encouragement and moral support there. If I may add my two cents, it would be to not pay attention to the haters. Ignore them and keep on making your games.

But one question still remains: Which one of you is the better Donkey Kong player??? (-:

I don't think either of us is very good. I remember us both being ok at the 2600 and Atari 800 versions, but the arcade version was just too difficult. By the way, I feel that the 2600 version gets a lot of undeserved crap. It only has 2 screens but is a technical marvel. I think we understood the limitation of the technology back then and were more excited by advances in game development than the actual games (on the early consoles). I do remember when Donkey Kong hit the arcades though. We played it a lot, but I was more interested in Pole Position and Space Duel. With $3 and 8 tokens for a dollar we had to be pretty conservative on how we spend out 24 game plays.

I've made it to level the “pie” level (so through 1,2,4,1,2,3) a few times, but that's it. Love the game tho. Play it to death on my Atari 800.

    Hey.

    Ha! Thanks for the answers.

I never played it on any Atari system, although I did own a 2600. However, I owned it on the Colecovision, and played it a lot. I was pretty good at it (or maybe this version was too easy compared to others?)

Yeah, I agree, the arcade version was harder. Arcade versions of games usually seem harder than their home console counterparts.

I'll have to look up DK on the 2600 sometime. (:

    - Ziro out.
