hey guys what do you think of gameJS ( http://tommysmind.com/ ) .. the teetris clone he wrote seems to work fine in IE7+ and peopel think it seems prety fast .. any other recommendations for html5 / JS game libraries?

    • 8bitrocket

No recommendations yet, but we will get there. We have a few games we have made and we have our own libraries and engines, but they are not ready for prime-time…yet.

Yep. that is 16-bit spectacular! (with 8-bit color of course). With the Canvas, the age of the “graphics demo” could return. This is just the start.

Here is a game I developed using only JavaScript and the HTML5 canvas
element. No external libraries were used and in my testing runs
pretty smoothly in all major browsers (so long as they are updated)
