new game of ours, sponsored by Addicting Games, has gone live this morning. It is called Bratney Escape the Madness. It is based on an AS3 tech-demo engine that I put together to demonstrate blitting, tile based movement, and message/sound management in an entity base framework. It turned into three progressively different maze-chase games, culminating in this final version. Some of the Addicting Games reviewers see it as little more than a pac man game, but if you play through all of the 15 levels, you will find that there is much more two it. A lot of time went into planning out each level, difficulty progression, and puzzle elements, player tasks, sound, etc. It might still only amount to what looks like a pac man game, but it is much more than that. The guys at Addicting Games initially came up with the idea after playing Mission Leprechaun, and the FlashGameLicense team sold them on us doing a re-work for them. In case players don't stick around long enough to get to some of the more interesting stuff, here is a brief rundown of the game elements...
